After the successful test at the Bavarian State Parliament elections in October 2018, public broadcaster Bayerischer Rundfunk and their digital department BR24 will again be using the HbbTV app developed by TeraVolt for live accompaniment on election day for the European elections on May 26th.
The HbbTV application can be accessed directly via the Red Button and via the launch bar in the TV program of Bayerischer Rundfunk. The application offers the user immediate access to the latest graphics for predictions and extrapolations of the election results for Germany and Bavaria on election day. In addition, users can access background and analysis videos and a news ticker for the election. Furthermore, a live stream of BR24 will be offered on election night via HbbTV.
